This year I've had the pleasure of planning an hosting a series of workshops and events for Kinfolk Magazine. The first workshop was in late winter just outside of Charleston at one of my favorite places on earth. We gathered at Deux Puces Farm owned and operated by my dear friend Tara Derr Webb, and spent a chilly afternoon baking with whole grains and stone ground flours. We made fresh butter from cream by shaking it in glass jars with a marble, baked clementine cardamon yogurt cake, rolled out dough on the front porch, made an array of fruit tarts, and baked a number of other delicious treats all morning stopping to make tea and enjoy our labors in the afternoon. It truly was the perfect way to spend a winter day.
thank you to our amazing partners:
